Just dropped the car of at Stratstone's Newcastle for its 1st Mot.

The car was only serviced at Team Vally Landrover last month so let's see how many extra jobs Stratstone can find.

Only using Statstone' because they are charging me £29 for the MoT,valet and pre winter check ?

Has anyone else sent the car in for one thing and ended up paying for something unrelated ?

Yes they scratched it and then reckoned it wasnt them.

I just paid £15 for a pre-winter check at my favourite (and the only one I will use) garage Farnells, got a fully documented report including anti-freeze check and an offer of a interior and exterior valet (No I didn't have it done) as a thank you I got a half day experience voucher
Don't seem to be on the 'free LR experience day' voucher list like many of you are , but for £15 i'm .
Would I have bothered if there was no voucher.... erm NO

Took mine into Strastone for £29 MOT and it passed without any further work. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

My supplying LR garage does the MOT for free if you purchased the car there.

FAIL....They got me on the top rear break light bulb (£1.80 + vat).

The valet was crap but I did get a airfreshener that makes my eyes water.

As for the winter check ......what winter check ?

So that's it she is now 3years old so goodbye dealer and warranty an hello tool box and dirty hands.

I will still pop into strastone's for the odd perv over the new cars and who knows I may even let them rip me off again In a few years time .  SD4 Sports LE Black ...
