It's also quite easy to get phenomenal average MPG figures just after a fill-up, especially if you choose a filling station on the top of a slight down hill slope.......................... I've had fuel figures that a green just wouldn't believe possible from a 3.6l V8, 3tonne wagon, unfortunately they only last until I decide to press the gas pedal but I've had 99.99mpg showing for about a mile! Modern engine management can reduce the rpm to just above the stalling point on a trailing throttle which helps too

Resetting the trip computer whilst doing 40mph in 6th gear on a flat road yeilded 569mpg , if only it was like that all the time eh

i have got my car in the dealers tomorrow, to have the rear view mirror replaced due to it vibrating

It may also be useful to record the average mph when publishing these figures to help us work out why threre appears to be such a variance in mpg and the software release. GS TD4 All Black |
