LR Exprience Peckforton Castle

I was lucky enough to have a full day LR Experience at Peckforton Castle Cheshire bought for me for my recent significant birthday. I booked in to have the full day in an FL2 last Friday. What a fantastic day I had and, with the expertise of my instructor Andy, I pushed the FL2 to its limits - not that there were any. Andy said to me when we started ' You have all the car you will ever need in an FL2'. I did not understand at first what he was getting at. I Knew the FL2 was good off road but did not appreciate until the end of the day just how good. It went everywhere the Disco, RR, Defender and the new Evoque went without putting a foot wrong. Even the one area where they normally have to tow the FL2 out we got through without any problems. I would like to think it was all down to my good driving, some of it must have been, but mostly it was the fantastic abilities of the FL2 that got us through where lesser vehicles would have faltered. And all this on road tyres. I now know what Andy meant. If you have the chance of attending one of the LR Experiences grab it and enjoy it. Thanks must be given to Andy and the the rest of the team at Peckforton Castle for providing such a brilliant and informative day out.

I can agree wholeheartedly with that, a great team and I had a great time there as well. So much so that I bought a Freelander 2 straight after and have just taken delivery 10 days ago.

Welcome to the mad house Carl hope you enjoy your Freelander, good to hear both you and Mr Wolf had a good time at the experience, I hope to do the Rockingham site in the new year and am able to learn just what the Freelander can do, in someone else's vehicle of course. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Speedway,
I did Rockingham in a Freelander in December 2010 and can thoroughly recommend it. The Freelander was highly capable and Rockingham is a great site in which to try out the vehicle.

Alf, I did Coniston Cold , Skipton,a couple of weeks back it is a great place,( they claim it is the "Flagship" LRE ) probably what gives it the edge if you are doing the 4 hour dealer freebie, is that your hours road drive is in the Dales, going out throught Settle and the MalhamDale areas, taking in plenty of scenery. Also plenty of other things on the estate too if you want to make a full day of it Fishing, Clays, Archery, Falcons, etc.... 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned !

2023 Toyota Hilux invincible X 2.8 Auto .
