Reduced engine performance

Hi there, first time on the forum, any assistance gratefully received. 2007 HSE Auto 115,000miles. Sorry if this has been done before!
Keep getting the above message and the accompanying limp home performance, which reverts to normal if I stop the engine and start again. (not conveneient usually on the A21) I'm not that techy but noticed that it normally happens if I accelerate harder than normal. any ideas, any fixes that you guys can suggest. Thanks a lot.

Varible Vanes on the turbo could also do that. You can get it cleaned out by certain garages, very common on vw and skodas

Throttle housing causes this fault. Stuck butterfly in the inlet. You can try cleaning but I would recommend you replace it.

I belive a sensible approach is to read the fault codes stored inside the engine ECU (because for sure are some) and go from there. Being the engine, the fault codes could be read by any generic OBD2 fault code reader.

He said what was on his mind on the Subject field, so the text appeared as/on the title of his posts.
He will figure it out eventually... If not already after seeing his last post. Very Happy
