It's a forum (and a very good informative one at that) for people with a passion for FL2's.

If a joke at me, colour car or someone laughing at my caravan holidays then bring it on - I have a laugh and then move on. Although OTT sometimes, humour releases the pressure from our busy work day and IMO is essential. If I don't like the look of a specific comment then, just like the television, I can turn over or in this case move to another post.

If you want nothing else but a typical stripdown and re-build procedure of the 'Crankcase retardation wongle valve' then look for another forum.

I've said my bit and will move on Thumbs Up .

Nicks a top man and like any role dealing with the day to day public you'll win most of the time but not all of the time. Nick for president Bow down we all love you (Well...not in that sense Laughing ).

This isn't in response to any particular comment or thread and not aimed at any individual.

I was always under the impression that a car specific forum was a place for GROWN MEN to talk about their cars and associated topics and normally where GROWN MEN meet for a discussion a bit of banter and humour is also thrown into the fray?
This sounds a bit like being down the local pub?
(Q) Who polices the local pub?
(A) The land lady
Can you imagine a bloke going upto the bar and complaining about a joke?
No the inflicted guy would probably turn a Deaf Ear or go next door.

What i'm trying to say is I thought the forum was more like a pub than a Salvation army meeting hall cos most GROWN MEN prefer the pub to the saly army? Don't they?

I never visit any abode of abstinence - life is too short to be miserable.

So pile on the sex, drugs, tobacco, nourishment, comedy, booze, risk, - the thrill of it all. And I'll only meet Sally if she's into all of my soul foods Ner Ner

Nick, I am very sorry that you feel the way that you do though some of the humour on the forum in my opinion is in very bad taste (Fatima being pretty low as a means of thinking it funny to ridicule or humiliate in the course of humour).

I have been watching and sometimes contributing on this forum and yea at times have been on the receiving end of some pretty bad bully boy comments. I feel sorry for people who have to resort to these kind of tactics to show their masculinity which it is quite the opposite of course.

Nick, please carry on with the moderating. You cannot please all the people all the time so don't bother trying. You actually do a super job and as Martin entrusts you with the task of keeping the forum on track then your opinion is final. If anybody takes issue with that then it's a free country (so far!) and as the site is not compulsory to attend or contribute to those that don't loke it can allways so off. Ralph

Are you in the salvation army?

How can you get bullied on here? just stick it back to them, you can't get punched in the face on here?

(Unlike CG's Local where ya get smacked for stuttering)

Nick It seems you have a lot of friends on the forum? do you not think you would enjoy the forum more if you didn't have to sort out the squabbles?

C'mon Nick, you love this forum like the rest of us do Thumbs Up
We've all been at the receiving end of something during our lives, be it a joke, jibes or even a punch on the nose.
It would be a shame to see you disappear and not take part in all the banter, and you have given as good as you've received in the past.

Stick with it, police the forum as and when it needs it, you've even chastised me a couple of times in the past and I'm still here (probably much to the annoyance of a few people on here) Very Happy

P.S. What would you like for Christmas Question ______________________

If that's all she wants - go buy it and wrap it up very nicely - she'll love you all the more.

As for my Cost Centre1, I wish she'd settle for iPad. On her shopping list is a new GE Colour Ultra Sound Body Scanner plus a host of other new kit for her own practise. If this carries on by Autumn'11 (grand opening) my pension portfolio will have evaporated. And, Cost Centre2 has a list for Santa that stretches from here to Timbukto.

Goodbye Moderator Nick. It's a tough gig which I believe you did well. Here's to your successor.

And no doubt we'll all welcome Nick, as it'll still be good to have you on board.
