WANTED : MP3 AUX Input Socket

Hi guys, does anyone know where I can get a replacement MP3 AUX Input Socket for my 2007 SE. I have tried my local dealer and although not expensive they do not have any and say that Land Rover do not have any either and don't know when they are going to get them back in. I'm kinda getting bored with listening to the wifes CD's now !!!!

Any help greatfully recieved. 2007 ( 57 ) TD4 SE Auto, Samatra Black, Leather interior, Xenon Headlights, No Privacy Glass yet though.

If it a replacement then Maplin will have something, the socket itself is a standard 3.5mm jack socket.

try Duckworths and LPR

My rear AUX port was removed to be hidden below the centre console for my Kensington iPod interface which plugs into it to allow my kit to play tunes through the radio, LPR provided a spare AUX port to put in the hole instead of the rubber bung, but this was a couple of years ago, its the same part in the current version so they should be availible

So I have two of them in my car, but you can't have one Ner Ner Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

the cables are not in view, so a more streamlined installation Cool

Oh and from memory, you break the AUX in two, one piece slots in from the top, the other retains from the beneath, iirc Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I tried Maplins today with no joy, staff weren't exactly on the ball either, but then I guess it was Saturday. Having said that I have removed the socket ( thanks for the advice on getting it apart n) and noticed that it has a Ford Part number on it so am gonna try my luck at our local Ford Dealer on Monday to see if they have it !! 2007 ( 57 ) TD4 SE Auto, Samatra Black, Leather interior, Xenon Headlights, No Privacy Glass yet though.
