The salesman for my MY57 auto told me that the car would always start in second and if need be to use command shift if I wanted first. I think it was a factory setting...... presume my MY10 auto is the same...... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.

In my opinion, having owned 2, the there is nothing wrong with the manual gearbox. I find the gear change to be smooth and as responsive as I want. I also drive an auto at work sometimes and it is also a good box. Down to personal choice at the end of the day.

The Freely is taller than most cars therefore an opening car door will hit the Freely raised bottom door skirt before touching the door or the inserts half way up if fitted.
