United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
5 Years old and still looking good!

Next month will be my FL2's 5th birthday. So after the Scotland Trip last month, 3 hours were spent machine polishing the wheels to get the marks out, which has worked well as 95% of them have gone completley, a bit more effort and the rest will be gone.

I also masked off all the trim and machine polished the whole car to remove any slight swirl marks. (Not that there were many!) I figured I may as well keep her for another year now.

Near on 4 1/2 years ownership so far, the longest I have kept a car so far!

It's a standard i6 rear silencer with the bodykit tail pipes that bolt on. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Great looking car. Love the 2011 facelift and the twin rear pipes. Does the i6 silencer fit easily?

On the question of wheels needing a refurb, Hunters Land Rover in Derby are advertising a refurb with free colour change if wanted for £99...... Maybe all the dealers have this offer on, I'm not sure, but will check on the price (is it for all four wheels) when I collect my own car tomorrow. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

i6 Rear silencer is pretty straight forward. So go for it! I know about Hunters wheel re-furb, would not touch it to be honest, they just paint the face of the wheel and don't remove the tyres. So I would not consider doing what they offer. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
