Wales 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Local independent tyre dealer, some 8 miles away, got a 40 ton container of Nokian WR GR2's ready for this winter as we are very rural and get little or no grit. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

So I just had the same shoes fitted and it cost 114.99+VAT for each tyre.
Total came to £661.90 including fitting and four wheel alignment.
All done and very friendly at ATS in Reading Smile

Excellent Thumbs Up

We have a family meal booked in early December at a restaurant which is 'out in the sticks' so the FL2 will be the mode of transport if the snow is in full swing. My dad doesn't drink so he usually drives us all there in his A4 but he is a named driver on my policy so no probs there.

Also Chris, have you told your insurance company? I rang mine (AXA) and they said that technically they don't need to know as it isn't classed as a modification but they made a note of it anyway. Quite a few of their policy holders have been buying winter tyres apparently LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

+14 deg here, forecast mild for week ahead with rain & strong winds. Don't need ice tyres for that!

dunkley201: If your watching the Oslo weather then I am sure you will see a change later, but not for several weeks I guess.
You may like to use this site for accurate hour to hour weather http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Oslo/Oslo/Oslo/
As you say, not much use for ice tyres at the moment, but mine are fitted because when the white stuff does come it comes suddenly. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Try the forum sponsors for winter tyres, AJS 4x4, they are just round the corner from you, just off the M25 at Reigate.
