Turbo Whistle

Does anyone know if there is a cure for the turbo whistle on the SD4, or is it just a 'feature' of this engine. Although not loud it is noticable and given the choice I would rather be without it.

What turbo whistle, not the one mentioned at Halewood, even the driver on the experience knows all about it now Laughing

For the record, I haven't noticed it on mine, if I have the window open and with the right surroundings, there Is a slight whistle but it is not obtrusive and i have only noticed it since I have began listening for it after it was mentioned on here. SWMBO who I haven't mentioned it to has not noticed anything, well hasn't mentioned it.

Some of the young lads actually pay to have their turbo make a noise, I believe its the dump valve noise, makes the car sound like its doing a fart, and ours make a noise for nowt. Razz

I'm so pleased TVLR have found the solution for the turbo whistle! It's a fab quick fix that can be done while you wait!
Lloyd sounds like he should now and all due to the replacement of the steering column seal.

I will mention this to Stratstones when I take it in at the beginning of decmber to let them screw the dashboard back together properly, Hopefully this stop the Cracks and buzzes which destroy any illusion this is a quality vehicle.
