The Rock Climb
Shocked Surely not, the video of the rock ascent, he must have the camera off horizontal, even so it's impressive.

The background trees look ok though!

Yeah, it does look to be real. A bit of 'googling' puts the rock at 45 degrees and I for one would not like to attempt the drive back down Shocked
I wander if it used HDC on the way down, it would take someone a bit special to rely on the car alone for braking.

This defender driver must have cacked his pants

That rock climb one has done rounds on a few forums and nobody ever agrees on it

It looks too steep, look at the trees, wheels skidding etc etc

Personally i think its a Censored steep hill, when you see the start the camera is horizontal and growing straight up, but then when its going up, at about the 28-30sec mark you see grasses that are growing at a angle, not straight up

i think the camera does tilt, intentionally or not, it is a really steep cliff anyway, but not as steep as the film dictates

Dont think the FL2 would get up it, as i reckon the RRS has the rear diff locks option

Brave doing it either way Bow down Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yep, been sussed...it's a very steep gradient but not as steep as it first appears

Watch it on a laptop and then tilt the image until the trees at the bottom of the slope (way down) are around plumb and you get a more sensible angle!

Impressive enough but no more so than any other decent 4x4 on proper tyres imho

Fiddling like this does LR no justice when it's so ****ing obvious! FL2 GS Auto '58reg

I would say the only way to rock climb is with an Auto box and low range, the Range Rover going down sound like its using HDC !!

Not for a freelander or for Me ( unless its not my car Rolling with laughter )
