Just seen the Goodyear advert on TV for snow tyres. Obviously aimed at playing on peoples fears of heavy snow again. Andy

17 degrees and sunny down south today, feeling warm too. What is going on with the weather? At this rate it'll be summer again before we know it. Ou est le snow?

Mmmm a month ago people were trawling the net to find info to say snow was round the corner and we have just had the warmest October on record and now heading towards the warmest November. Looks like winter tyres wont be needed this year Laughing

To be fair it was just as mild at the beginning of last November and if anyone had said it was going to snow heavy at the end of November and early December, people would have laughed and dismissed it entirely. Then suddenly it arrived.

Of course if you live in the Scottish Highlands it's less of a chance and more of a guarantee (already had some I believe) LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

This time last year the Vredisteins were on, I haven't even looked at them yet for this winter.

I have the Avons fitted now not because the wintry weather is imminent (or so it seems) but just because I thought I would have them fitted when they arrived.

Lets just say there isn't a flake of snow by Christmas, it's not like anyone can say "HA HA no snow this winter". Was it the 1960's (62 perhaps) when the worst snowfall in recent memory arrived on Boxing Day? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Well if we don't get any snow soon, you could try this, I'm sure you would get in to the grove of driving on snow if you won a place in the competition
