Lately been having this annoying rattling sound coming from the passenger door. The sound is like something vibrating on plastic. There's no foreign objects in the door pocket. Weirdly, when I move the window up and down the noise stops for a while, then returns.

I had something similar on mine - happened only at speed though which pointed me to the external trim, turned out to be the plastic bit at the bottom of the door had unclipped and was obviously rattling in the wind. a few bangs to put the clips back in and it was perfect again. Same here. If any one finds it let me know. Already had the glove box to bits and battery cover as thought it comes from this area either inside or outside of cars. Also considered the turbo grill and a relay mounted behind glove box. Mine always seems worse at the point you should really be changing down a gear. |

Had something similar - it was the passenger seat. Only happens after wife has sat in it. a thump on the headrest and it stops. Disco was the same. |

I've something similar but the rattle only occurs when i go around left hand corners. I'm going to check all the trims (as i've check the side steps and they are tight).

After examining the passenger seat, I found the plastic bracket, on the side of the seat behind the seat adjustments, had come off so I clicked it back in place, so far no sound yet, I'm hoping this fixes the problem. |

Update: Rattling noise still exists, I'm now certain that it's coming from within passenger door. It only rattles when the car is standstill as vibration is strongest then. I can tell it's in the door since when I tap it it temporary stops then returns...... |
