boot light off switch

Hi All,

it would be handy to be able to turn the rear boot light off

Has anyone fitted a switch to this lamp and If so what did you use and how did you fit it.

my old dog has to sit in the back when we work so we like to have the tailgate open

Thanks for any help

I have pulled the lamp out and have a super bright led light wired in on a switch. Taken from a 12v feed in the fuse box and a switch in the plastic trim. Make it very handy when trying to look for a spanner or something at dark 'o' clock

That s a great idea did you screw the lamp up on the head lining

i was thinking of drilling a 20mm hole into the plastic trim next to the lamp fitting and fitting a inline rocker switch

It's on double sided tape and stuck to the headling. That's all I used was a small rocker switch
