Your dealer should have fitted the larger plates. it's a legacy from Rover - which I think they copied from Rolls Royce. Larger ones look much better. |

Rover and MG had fab great big numberplates on the 75 amd ZT/ZTT..I think it's a failure of the dealerships to buy suitable plates! I don't want that ruddy eu flag on my car either |

I changed mine for larger style euro plates as the small plates look silly and i dont like gb stickers when driving abroad!

Captain W, I think I'll follow your advice. Some of the internet companies look like trade only as they require login details.

I've had several sets of plates from a company called My Showplates (http://www.myshowplates.com) and have found the service excellent. They do all the standard and non standard sizes including the 21" x 6" for the back of the FL2. Prices are competitive and the plates carry the BS marking unless you specify otherwise.

Now fitted larger plate to rear. In the end I went to Halfords - at just over £15 it was as cheap as online suppliers and saved hassle of sending off paperwork. Looks much better and required supplier's markings are very small and discreet.
