Went to the dealer Monday for the winter tyres to be fitted and got a free software update (the car is two weeks old) - I'm not sure how behind the UK Germany is with such things, but apparently its only just been released. It apparently addresses several long outstanding and "hard to find" bugs! Now the car dings and complains if the key fob is still inserted when the door is opened (it didn't do that before). Pity the version number isn't displayed when you start up or something. - Mike |

I agree that its 'not right' that you cant see the software version installed and can compare with a list that should appear on the LR website - but doesn't. '57 GS TD4 in Stornoway. Privacy, Leather, Tred Cills. From ebay etc.. 18" 12 spoke HSE alloys, rear spoiler, clear side repeaters with clear leds, led interior light to replace bulbs, sports exhaust trim, TomTom 720.

Go along with that about the software version. Surely it would make things so much easier for all knowing if you have the latest software or need to have it updated. Seems like common sence to me but common sence seems not to be as common as it used to be. |

Regarding my "folding mirror" problem (where they only auto-fold every 2nd go) - my dealer advised that a new software update addressing my specific problem plus some others will be released 15 Jan. |
