Yes, snow is a major problem for many, but I don't see it as a reason to resent those people who happen to enjoy it looking forward to it and making the most of it all! Thumbs Up

But there is a difference!

Snow is a major problem for many, but a joy to some.

Buying and using a BMW is a nuisance to everyone and should be banned immediately for the obvious benefit of all! Laughing

Laughing Must admit I have a bit of a dislike for them, not the cars so much but the people who buy them.

Aside from the fact that winter tyres could be fitted to a BMW and then it would be fine (not as fine as a 4x4 obviously), why would anyone venture out in say a 3 series with normal tyres in the snow?

I like the 3 series (I like lots of beemers) but there is no valid reason any RWD Beemer owner could give that justifies driving in the snow without winter tyres. They may say "I had to go, emergency etc etc etc". The fact is though, that you would make better progress on foot or on all fours.

Nice cars but if you aren't going to put winter tyres on, don't even bother going out in it! LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Taztastic, please explain "I am in the Scammell wheel nuts camp myself" it's new to me Dooh!. The Doctor, The FL2 is only a car, I like mine and it is fit for purpose. There are lots of other good cars out there including BMW's, Subaroooos, Honda's, Volvos, Skodas and even Jeeps. I do not think there is any point in slagging off other cars, just let the FL2 prove it's worth and enjoy...... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Lol..
Well I'm another big kid who loves the snow and always have been!
Don't get me wrong I don't like anyone suffering because of it but our country should be far better prepared, alot of places have far worse winters than us ( lucky for some! ) and it's still business as usual for them, whereas the uk grinds to a halt!
