My local dealer quoted over £500 for the 4th service luckily there is a good landrover specialist nearby who charged me £390, good job I went there coz it needed rear pads disks and shoes on top of that!

Totally agree. I have used RCV for my last 2 services. They are only a few miles out of Tonbridge as well. At least pop along and have a chat with them next time and see what you think.

Had my 60k service a couple of weeks ago at main dealers. They wanted £84 for oil but were happy for me to supply my own and knock it off the bill. Bought 8 litres of Magnatec 5w 30 A1 from Asda for £52 (leaving me 2 litres for top-ups). This brought total to about £220 plus my oil (circa £39 for the 5.9 litres supplied). Mind you, they got the rest of their money from extras - air con service (£49) and brake fluid change (£60).

RCVs website have a price list for servicing, and the 60k service is shown at £368 inc VAT. I've not owned my FL2 for long enough to have needed a dealer for a service, but I won't be going anywhere a dealer when it does!

Morning All I posted previously on here regarding Harwoods costs, 3rd service £590 inc MOT. Shopped around and Caffyns (Lewes LR Dealer - abt 20 miles away) quoted £360 excluding MOT. If you google autotrader half price MOT, then Halfords will do it for you.
Total cost around £385 - Harwoods are great as a dealer but bloody expensive. Whistle

I've recently had something similar done on my FL2 at Conwy Landrover.
60,000 service £304.00
New Rear Disks and Pads £152.00

Disks and pad were fitted free. The handbrake mechanism was being fixed under warranty so they phoned to say they'd do it for free. I knew they needed changing so hell yes was the answer.

The OP price is nothing short of a chapter from Dick Turpin Smile
