From memory (on D4 but assume new FL2 is same) you use the smaller end of the tool with the 2 tabs upwards, these lock into the holes at the top and then you pull (I think although maybe push away) the tool towards you and this will reset the flap.

From the handbook

Reset the misfuel protection device as follows:

1. Insert the reset tool (with the teeth uppermost) as far as it will go into the filler neck.
2. Locate the teeth by pushing down the top of the reset tool.
3. With the top of the tool pressed down and the teeth engaged, slowly pull the tool out of the filler neck to reset the device.

Do not twist the device, once the teeth have engaged.

I guess we'll never know if we helped or not, some people aren't appreciative and never bother with an update. Rolling Eyes

Can someone please explain why the yellow flap was there? I understand its a device to stop you putting petrol in.... Many thanks. JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.

Got it in one. It's a 'misfueling device'. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!
