The quietness is probably more to do with the additional sound proofing material fitted around the engine compartment and on some of the components that it is with engine mapping.

Despite appearances the Evoque chassis is totally different to that of a FL2 and the suspension is also different. You only have to drive an SD4 Auto version of both to notice the different ride. Evoque is much smoother and firmer.

The only significant common components are the engine, Haldex unit and drive train.
