Agree on the costs, if it's a family event then it could work out quite expensive Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

LRO Adventure Club are currently offering a 'Land Rover Experience Convoy Day'

allowing you to "drive the Land Rover Experience Rockingham Castle course - and learn how to do it well with Land Rover instructors."

Even an early morning meet for breakfast convoy drive to the coast, treasure hunt, then lunch evening meal

Found this website which gives treasure hunts as something to do with the kids

So you don't want to travel too far south EY, nothing wrong with that Thumbs Up

But if this event (or any other) is arranged and its further down south then so be it, when the plan(s) come together I can see if i can make it down/up there

feel free if you live in the north, south, west or east to use this thread to throw in an idea and see if a meet can be arranged from it,

Remember ANYONE can arrange a meet, that could be 2 of them or 20 anywhere in the country Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I'll meet myself coming the other way one day, I will post further details when I get them Laughing

I agree with EY, it is easier to hold "Regional" meets, nationally becomes expensive very quickly.

I have already pledged my support for this day here too

I'm not fussed where it is to be honest, if it is something that I fancy I don't mind travelling. As for the resident organiser Bow down if he should want to do another then fine by me, you know that if toeknee Bow down does it you know it will be a good day, I think we are just seeing if toeknee wants a break and if anyone else wants to give it a go like Bill Turner is doing and doing a fine job it seems. Thumbs Up

If it involves the little ones you may want to think who will be coming, as ownership of a Freely seems to encourage an older owner than a young family, well thats what I seem to have noticed on the events I have been to.

tony does do a grand job, but its can't always be left to him to organise everything, if he wants to organise the next one then that obliviously fine, but if someone else hops on board then i'm sure he won't mind, like Bill Turner if you know someone that could bring a good event to one and all, shout up

The thread was started to help decide on what type of event would suit the next meet not who is organising it Smile Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
