United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Ipanema Sand
Front window wind noise

Hi all Very Happy
On the motorway this afternoon with a fair bit of wind blowing, and the noise through my near side
front window was alarming. The car is only 4+ months old and still under warranty, so no problem
getting it fixed, just want to be up to speed with dealer when I arrive, not wishing to be fobed off Embarassed !!!
When I arrived at the destination I checked the window and found I could push it up nearly half inch
more, so wondering if their is some adjustment that can be made to reload the tension ???, any advice would be welcome. Rolling Eyes Freelander 2 GS 2011(facelift)

Have you tried resetting the window to ensure it closes fully.
Details on how to do it are in the Manual. Or try:

When the window starts going down press the DOWN button till the window stops/reaches the bottom then hold the UP button until the window gets to the top.

Repeat, three times (open and close the window, fully, three times).

Thanks Thumbs Up rchrdleigh
I popped into my local dealer and mentioned my problem and they said the same as you to try resetting the window. Their method was slightly different to yours in that when you put the window up you opperated the buttons you held them for 10 secs, any way thanks for the info it stood me in good stead !!! and the problem is now cured, although I still have not got out my manual to see for myself !!!
appreciate your time Bow down Freelander 2 GS 2011(facelift)
