South Africa 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Fuji White
MY11 Projector Headlamps.

Hi All,

I`m new to the forum. I`m living in sunny South Africa and just purschased a Freelander 2 a few weeks ago. Been reading alot of interesting topics, so thanks for all the information and knowledge shared.

I`ve driven a few times at night and noticed the projector headlamps are not that good, so I decided to replace the bulbs with the Osram Nightbreaker Plus. So far only the drivers side (RHD) low and high beams have been replaced. Took the car for a test drive to see the difference between the left and right but the new low beam seems to be shinning much higher than the left side headlamp.

1) Is this just because the new right side bulb is brighter that the left side?
2) Could the postioning of the project lamp have moved when swapping the bulb?
3) Can I adjust the position on the beam on the projector headlamps?

Thanks

I had the same problem, took it to the dealer and discovered the lamp was not correctly located in it's mounting. Make sure you take out both headlight units, and work in bright conditions.

The mounting is very poor in my opinion. You may think the bulb is correctly loctated, but actually it is not. Try remounting the bulbs and turn the lights on against a wall about 5m away. Poor focus and pattern will be apparent if the bulb is incorrectly mounted. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury Corris Grey
