It's been a month from placing an order for a FL2
an I still have no info on a lead time for it.
It's been ordered, I received an email to confirm this.

A reputable leasing company should know before you sign on the dotted line when delivery can be expected even if it is a factory build as they deal with all the major players day in day out. I ordered my FL2 in November last year with a delivery date of end of March, actually got it 2 weeks earlier.

HOWEVER when I was considering an Audi Q5 ( ) the leasing company told me that waiting lists meant delivery would be 9 months away!! Another leasing company, probably hungry for an order, said 'no problems we can get you one in 3 or 4 months'.

I'm getting it through NHS fleet solution. Not sure what lease company they order through. I have just called them and asked for an update they still don't know so are going the chase it up. They don't order many landrovers apparently.

I ordered a British built lease car (Nissan) in March...the car arrived tail end of August....from one of the major lease companies...many German cars have much longer lease times. Unless it is in stock then minimum 3 to 4 months.

My own lease car took the usual 3 month. I ordered it direct from the lease company, but arranged for them to source it with a local dealer, so I was able to deal with them for delivery dates.

I would imagine that the NHS's purchasing policies might not allow any margin for decent service regarding delivery dates....

Just had email from fleet solutions saying that " the leasing company are having problems agreeing a supply price with land rover" so as a consequence even though the order was placed about six weeks ago the car has still not been ordered from LR yet. Look like it will be well into 2012 before I will be getting hold of it.

I ordered my TD4 GS in Orkney Grey in mid-May via Arval leasing. It arrived at the end of September which was about three weeks later than the expected delivery date.

Just about to have some covert and grille lights fitted as it's an emergency vehicle. The blue magnetic light on the roof isn't that effective as it's too high. Grille and dashlight LED strobes are much more effective at clearing traffic.

How did you manage to get NHS leasing to allow you a FL2?

I was told that all vehicles had to have <140g CO2 to be leased and the Freelie is just over. Stupid green propaganda, I work in the Highlands and have to go from Ft William to Skye twice a fortnight, no matter the weather.

i work in Newcastle and as far as I'm aware NHS fleet solutions here don't have any restrictions on the car you order, you tell them what car you want and what extras and they come back and tell you how much.

I'll have a whinge when I get back in on Monday and see if I get anywhere.
Isn't there a tax break at 140g, maybe that's the answer.

The CO2 based BIK scale is something that's dear to my heart too.

What I find frustrating is that I'm charged around £250 a month CO2 based BIK tax, yet the cost to offset the total CO2 output for its manufacture and the first 45,000 miles (about 18 months for me) is only £75!

Somehow, the BIK figures seem out of all proportion to the environmental cost of the CO2 output.

I will be paying arround £100 per month BIK when every it arrives. I am able to pay for the car through salary sacrifice so the saving i make on tax and NI make it not so bad.
