should be coverd under warranty you have a three year comprehensive warranty on the vehicle so why should it be not coverd cant say ware and tare only 10 mts old |

If the dash is spitting the key out there must be a fault with the key. Either you've damaged it somehow, in which case warranty should not cover it, or more likely it has an internal fault, in which case it's warranty covered like every other electrical part. |

I have had a key fail where it would no longer hold charge to unlock / lock the car but never did it spit the key out.

Unlikely that it will happen to second key. As stated above, there must be something wrong with the key for the car to reject it. |

Hope you're right and it doesn't happen to other key. After all the faulty one used to be ok (for the first 11000 miles/10 months)! What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl |

Well I am back from Lookers in Bishops Stortford. They have fiddled about and have decided to replace "faulty "key - no quibble on warranty and polite service. So thumbs up to them.

Whilst under manufacturer’s initial warranty I would positively expect things like that to be covered.

They are supposed to be waterproof so your bucket of water should make no difference |
