2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Thanks for the input... I'm not in the mood to enter into the Yorkshire debate... not got enough energy.

I've been out looking for the keys, hoping that they waste of blood and organs threw them when he realised he wasn't going to get anywhere.

I've disconnected the battery and locked the car manually (I'm assuming being that he couldn't start the thing... or even find the hole for the key that he won't know how to manually unlock the car) and will be taking it somewhere else tonight.

All's well that ends well but it sucks to go to bed with you wife and 3 week old baby and wake up quite a few hundred pounds worse off because of the actions of someone you don't know.

Anyway, lets hope tomorrow is a better day.

At the end of each day my keys are safely tucked up in bed next to my alarm clock, that way any thieving runts would have to get past my missus first.....

As a handy bonus, if I hear any runts hanging around outside a quick press of the panic alarm on the fob soon clears them off (and wakes up half my street in the process!!) Thumbs Up Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

You don't need the keys to steel the car anyway! In Manchester area car thirds have been to known to bring there own ecu's with a key programmed to it. Smash the window open the bonnet quick change in and drive away. Mainly on high end bmw's and audi's!

Youd have thought they would have looked on here first and found out how to start them, must have been a right old twit.
Do we have a system here to stop car thieves logging on? Shocked

I don't know why none of the manufacturers havn't introduced something like a pin code via the keypad as an extra measure.
I sympathise with the OP and hope we all learn a lesson of were to leave keys, had they not been in the door it would not have happened.
