Long time no visit

Just got a P38 which has been taking up all my time so my Freelander 2 has been neglected.

Anyway, Sunday gone I decided to carry ot the 4th Year service on my 2007 XS. All seems to have gone well but this morning I have noticed that when I start the car it seems to make a big vibration when trying to start.

The car will run fine and drives perfect and then when I press the start/stop button as the engine is dying down another vibration occurs. Has anyone experienced this?

Because of the amplitude of vibrations, something from the drivetrain touches the body.
Maybe the exhaust or something.
And the amplitude of vibrations is bigger than before because, maybe, something had gave up.
If that happened only on ignition off, then the electric throttle may have some problems.
But this is happening on start-up too. So, check the drivetrain rubber mounts.

Engine/gear box rubber mounts worn = metal on metal.

Very good guesses lads.

Found the problem, it appears I have knocked the power steering fluid reservior of its holder.

Clipped it back in and all's well.

Obvious really that was going to be my guess, much more plausible than the other two's.

Tell you what, i was worried. I have changed head gaskets on Disco's, changed the suspension on my P38 but first time i have worked on my Freelander 2.

Confidence has grown since i fixed the other two so i thought, whats the worst that can happen with an oil change. Simple to do, even though the last one i did was on a MK2 Fiesta Popular  Gone S383 ABA Freelander 2.0 XEDI Rioja Red
