Just looked in the spare wheel 'well' and there is what looks like a fastening in the left corner nearest the back - but with nothing in it. What should be there?

Indeed in my 2008 HSE model there is a fastening Velcro strap. I don't know its purpose, but I have fitted my fire extinguisher there parraler to the ground, with the strap around it.

It's for the hazzard warning sign(the triangle). |

It is, as horrie mentioned, for retaining the hazzard warning triangle - maybe its not law to have one in the UK (hense it is missing) |

I can confirm it's for the hazard warning triangle. Even though I got mine in UK it came with a warning triangle which is stowed in the spare wheel well and secured by the velcro straps. I also got a first aid kit and set of spare bulbs. |

Wrong fuel reset device is secured to a bracket which also has a velcro strap attached. The velcro strap is for the warning triangle although fitting both the fuel reset device and warning triangle is tight. |
