I could take all this flack abour chrome arse pieces if it wasn't for the fact that the original boot handle didn't look like it had been sourced at the local Pound Shop! Looking like a mis-placed bit of bling is one thing, looking like they've left some of the packing crate stuck to the back door is quite another! |

Hate to agree with you there, especially on both counts, but I think I'm going to have to |

At the price these things cost - an electrical rear door opener/closer controlled from the fob should have been intergrated and with no handle needed on the rear door at all.

I have a border collie called Ben, who's usually bomb proof and will put up with all sorts of things, but electric motors on tailgates really spook him! Consequently, I'll stick with the manual variety |

Not just you 2dogs, I feel exactly the same about the way it's going.... I love the understated, 'less is more' style we have come to love LR for but there are lots of chavs with loot who want to copy Jordan and Kerry with there blingmobiles...all very worrying. Be careful LR, be very very careful with the FL3 and the all new new Defender. If not, hey, we'll all buy Jeeps instead! FL2 GS Auto '58reg |

I think the RRS tailgate is such a heavy monter thing it's unreal for a car of it's time, you almost need two hands to pull it down, it then sounds very clonky/rattly when slamming shut then you get a feeble motor to pull it right shut. Freelander tailgate is much easier. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red. (Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red. (Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding. (Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather. |
