United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver
Alarm specs

Hi, I've never understood too much about alarm systems.
I'm just checking up on my insurance and wondered what category my 2008 XS alarm would fall into?
It's the factory standard, volumetric, immobiliser one as far as I'm aware.

I only ask because I changed my insurance details with Aviva from my '99 Freelander to the '58 Freelander 2 XS and the alarm categories seem to be the same.
I doubt very much the rust bucket I had previously had anything worthy of calling an alarm except the sort you felt when driving it!

Nicks right but I can't find it in the manual, this is from the Thatcham site:

The Thatcham Vehicle Security Categories
Freelander 2
Category 1
ELECTRONIC ALARM AND IMMOBILISER
• Alarm
Perimeter detection
Ignition detection
Passenger compartment movement detection
Inclination detection
Audible warning with battery back-up power supply
• Immobiliser
Passively set
Isolates a minimum of two operating circuits or systems, or a minimum of one operationally relevant vehicle control unit with coded intervention

and the wheelnuts
