Valeo wiper blades.

Has anyone used the above and to what effect?, good or bad, I understand they are well thought of on the Disco 3 forum. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

wiper blades

My driver side blade shed about 3" of the wiping edge, right in the centre where you are looking. Dealer price for a pair was circa 36 quid! I bought some Red-line brand off e-bay, from Alderney, delivered by return and cost a tenner! Exactly the same fitting and are quiet, while cleaning the screen well. Looks good up to now.

Valeo blades work great on our Discovery 11 and LR2 but I made the mistake of using rain-X the first time. The Valeo blades and rain-X just doesn't go well together.

Sorry to reply on this old topic.
I was wondering if the Valeo X-trim wiperblades can be fit on a RHD-car?
Anyone knows the difference in the VM399 and the VM398 set?

I'm also looking at the Bosch A929S or the AM462S, don't know which is the wright for me.
Anyone got experience with these?

I would of said as long as 1@ 500mm and 1@ 600mm, being a multi fit item it would not make any difference the drivers side is the larger of the two blades and the clip on bit makes no difference whether it is lhd or rhd,nas I see it, not sure on the part numbers.
Someone will probably tell me if I'm wrong Wink

Some here with the part number you mention, with correct length blades;

Are Bosch wiper blades worth the extra money? What make are the front wipers? I looked at the rear wiper arm and its a Valeo blade, when the back needs changing I will probably get the same.

Cheers,

Chris

I replaced original wipers with Bosch ones (from Halfords) about 3 months ago and I wouldn't recommend them.

They would leave a thin smear (which evaporates after a few seconds) in light rain and would also throw water droplets onto the screen after wiping.

Got the dealers to replace them with oem ones during service on Monday which are perfect - no smearing and no throwing water on the screen after a sweep.

I had a small chip repaired a couple of weeks ago and the man from Autoglass gave me a set of Bosch blades (worh about £36 in Halfords) for nothing. Well worth the £10 insurance excess to get the chip fixed. Very Happy gone MY2010 GS TD4 Manual Stornoway

My Bosch ones from Halfords are excellent so they must have improved over the years
