How is the 14speaker Alpine/ Dolby™ Pro Logic II

for anyone who has goten the car. How is the New sound system? All you hear about is the alpine 7.1 14 speaker system.

SO? Is it all that it is crack up to be or are the blowing smoke up our ass?

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

Sounded the same as my HK setup in my D3, I thought it was great some disagree. D4 HSE Lux for me
FL2 HSE Zermatt & Alpacca for the wife now gone
Skoda Yeti L&K for the wife.

I have never been in a Land Rover. Yet! I am going to go on a test drive in a few weeks. I have HK in my mercedes. It is not that great. My brother just bought a hummer and the monsoon radio that they offer was amazing. Does anyone know if it is as good as that one?

Yes with the center speaker in the dash. I hope it is better than that

What is the verdict on this sound system in this car. Awsome or not?

This time round HK have been in on the interior design of Freelander 2 (just like on the D3, RRS, FFRR) from the early design stages and have built the sound system specifically for each vehicle.

They have not just slapped in a few speakers, a head unit and amp like many other manufacturers do.

mmm what I was told at Land Rover when I saw it on June 7th this year... maybe I missed him going from HK to Alpine in the conversation... or he never mentioned Alpine ??? either way, its was custom designed for Freelander 2.

I think the alpine sound system is great awesome handles the type of music I listen to no problem Fiona
