Headlight bulbs

Hi can you recommend what bulbs to up grade in our new 2 . Would like to do side lights and headlamps, I did put some Phillips bulbs in a mini I had with great success , can't remember the part number they where, they produce a nicer whiter light and nearly twice the brightness ,

Just replaced both main and dipped beam bulbs, H7 and H11, with Osram Nightbreakers. They certainly shine brighter and the beam is a bit better on dipped but maybe not the huge improvement I was hoping for. Was it worth the expense? Not sure to be honest with you. Do I wish I had specified Xenons? Yes I do.

Osrams are slot of money for what they are, surely halfrauds do some decent lamps on the 2 for 1. I am almost tempted to put my old lighthouse spots on my front roof bar for winter driver!

I fitted Philips Power x -treme as soon as I got my car (2009) as well as Osram night breakers for the fog lamps. Really pleased with results and passengers always comment on how good the lights are. Would certainly recommend them.

Fitted Phillips +100% H7's but very little improvement. Waste of money in my book. The current lights are downright dangerous for night driving in my opinion - the worst of any vehicle I've driven. Hence the attempt. Once bitten, twice shy so I haven't changed the H11's yet.

That's interesting, as the lights on my 07 FL2 are the best I've ever had. Mind you I've had some c**p cars in the past. Of course the previous owner might have changed the bulbs.

I may be wrong but I believe the poor headlights are unique to the MY11 vehicles. If so, it begs the question - what did they change?

Wonder if there's something different about the Australian spec. Question

Can't imagine there would be but it's worth checking out. Surely there are forum members who have had earlier models of the FL2 and the current MY11 and can advise if there is any discernable difference?
