Speaking of the vulcan why are people so in awe of it? Will they be the same when they see HMS Ark Royal float past on the way to the scrap heap Wink

I doubt it, little chance of seeing the Ark Royal above a Freely Whistle

I don't really know what it is about the Vulcan, it's pretty unique in the way it looks and it sounds amazing too. But it's the highlight of the show for most people!

It's designs different and its very noisy

When I was a lad, living in Lincolnshire, the Vulcan was a common site in the skies, we lived about twenty miles from RAF Coningsby, you certainly knew when they were passing over.

Love th Vulcan, I live only a few miles from Bruntingthorpe and I used to see and hear it loads. Still do but it's not based there anymore.

But It did fly over last week about 60ft above the house! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

unique?

Like the photo. Thinks this Vulcan is unique ... as in last one stil flying ..... isn't it?!

Amazing to watch because its so large and majestic looking on steep turns. It also is a reminder of those days in the 60s / 70s when Vulcans were our nuclear bombers (equivalent to the US B52s).

Thankfully the cold war is over. Just need to scrap Tridents subs now; obsolete and expensive posturing only!! Life is not a dress rehearsal!
