I Have just got back from Plymouth a trip of 280 miles and the last 30/40 miles when trying to engage cruise control the car hunted for revs and the same happened when i switched it off seemed ok at 70mph but put your foot down to go past anything same again loss of power there has been no warnings on the dash??.

I have not had this, mine engages cruise control without noticing, bar the light on the dash and the fact i pressed the button.
