After the wife using the car this weekend

I adjusted the mirror back to my position and have noticed the black housing on the window moving aswell, is there some sort of screw to tighten this up as with this been loose the mirror seems to vibrate on rougher than normal road.

If nobody knows how to retighten the rear view mirror casing

Can you at least tell me whether yours are fitted solid against the window as it's this black plastic cover thats loose or is there a bit of movement  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mine - the actual mirror is connected, via a metal ball joint, to the black plastic mounting unit which is glued tight to the glass.


(Mine could be a little different to others because I've got the dehumidity / air sensing Option Pack plus rain sensor - and both these options have functionality built into the mirror unit).


Yours - if it is still glued to the glass(?? - stand on the front wheel to get a proper look) - then it could be that the black housing cover just needs snapping back into place. If it is unglued from the glass - then I guess it's a dealer job so it doesn't end up a repair mess with glue all over the place........

Going to be passing the dealer later this week so i'll set off earlier and let them have a look, as I have tried to snap it back into place and got nowhere Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

mine's back at the dealer today - 2 weeks after taking delivery

I think I'm going input the dealer's address as "home" in my TomTom......

Car now booked in for them to look into the loose rear view mirror

But they have said they think its attached to the windscreen and if it is the thing thats attached to the windscreen the winscreen will needs to be replaced.

But wasn't sure, and hoped it would be covered by the warrenty

Also have them look at the handbreak play before it clicks/bites

low rev's drop and felt like it was going to stall

the mirror must be covered by warranty.

If it can't be occasionally adjusted between drivers without breaking - then it's not designed or manufactured properly !

I expect you adjusted it by hand - and not using a hammer or your foot ?
