The steel wheel has coutersunk or chamfered facings to mate up behind the bolt-head, alloys have a flat facing,

One of my first buys after acquiring my FL2 was a second set of SE wheels. Primarily to fit a set of winter tyres; also to replace the "useless" "space saver" spare wheel as I tow a caravan. The "space saver" now sits in the shed until the time the FL2 moves on (sometime never!). 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Yes, looking at it again, I would say your right....it seems logical it's the bolts in conjunction with the steel wheel. Thanks for the replies people. |
