Urgently Required M1 J13 to M1 J25

I have a FL2 bumper in MK43 9NT M1/J13 that needs to be transported to Derby - destination garage/paintshop is located at the end of the A52 from M1 J25.

It must be delivered next week in order for it to be prepared, painted and ready to fit onto her Laydship's FL2 when she visits the UK in a couple of weeks time. Reason for urgency of delivery - the paint shop closes for staff holiday at end of September and they want to finish the job before then. It is a surprise present for her.

Can anyone facilitate this delivery. You will be rewarded. Andy MacP unfortunately, because of his work commitments, can no longer help - thanks for trying Andy.

Post here and/or PM me if you can help. Thanks.

Well folks I've just spent the whole morning on the 'phone to courier/transport companies and hit a "Catch 22". Banging Head

All delivery services want the bumper fully packed after they saw the picture of the MY2011 FL2 Bumper. The supplier NESolutions are not in a position to pack the bumper, and rightly point me in the direction of their eBay ad which clearly states that these bumpers are sold "collection only". So if supplier will not pack, couriers will not collect and deliver. Big Cry

Cannot do it myself being here in Switzerland - so I'm still looking for that FL2 member travelling up the M1 next week. Bow down

What if a local member could visit the seller and bubble wrap the bumper up ready for a courier

Have a look at the members map?? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It is not a lot of help having it wrapped in bubble wrap, you are not trying to stop it getting scratched or scraped as it is being resprayed any way, you are trying to prevent it getting cracked or protected from something hitting it whilst being transported, bubble wrap wont protect it from being stood on or hit with something heavy.

Athelstan, I was within minutes of Natalies address today but my problem would have been getting it to Derby within the time frame. Sad

If all else fails , I can collect Wednesday 21st from J13, I can't get to Derby though until Monday 26th.
Who is painting it, someone you know?

Lads n Lasses
This Courier Network thread is really a great tribute to the enthusiasm and community spirit of the members - something we should all be proud of and support.

My PM box and email has been in the last 18hrs inundated with offers of help. In fact I have received an offer of help for every day next week from Tuesday through to Friday, and on some of those days multiple offers. MANY THANKS Thumbs Up

Again I thank all who have contacted me. If I can be of service to any of you (bearing in mind my location) or sending or arranging or offering travel tips n advice re Switzerland do not hesitate to contact me.
