I have yet to see an Evoque close up but they do look good (except that rear end). From the images in the press etc it does make the FL2 very dated and i suppose the facelift budget on the FL2 was tight as most of the budget went on the Evoque. Still if i wanted one i couldnt have one coz of the waiting lists so will happily drive around in my beloved FL2 for another 30 months until its contract is up, by which time the next generation with have 'hopefully' emerged with the technology currently on the Evoque - then I will be even happier!! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

Oddly there is a black one in the window of Sparkcars, Western Avenue, London W3, only a mile or so from LPR. Sparkcars deal in exotic cars, Ferrari, Rolls, classic american etc...... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.

Wasn't sure about the evoque at first but having went to the launch and had a test drive in SD4 manual coupe, the evoque IMO wins hands down it drives better holds the road better, better ground clearance, quieter. So based on that the freelander is going, new arrival should be at the dealers on Xmas eve. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

so in other words dont reverse off road in an Evoque

Very pleased with mine, had it off road in Argyll on day 3 of ownership but it is the first LR product I have owned that did not come shod with off road suitable tyres, they are Craptinental Crosscontact UHP-E's with a noisy tread pattern (pity because otherwise there is almost no engine noise unless you use the sport mode or kick down and despite the huge size of the side mirrors no wind noise). I have top of the range Coupe with all the options bar 5 - no metallic paint, no smokers pack, no contrast roof, no High Beam assist and no solar attenuating glass (I think the sun in the UK isn't so fierce that ordinary tinted glass cannot handle the UV/IR radiation we get!) How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
