Even 33% might be a bit on the high side. The press continue to peddle the myth that the Evoque is simply a rebodied Freelander in fact very little of the Freelander has transferred across to the Evoque. Even the engines although the same basic design have been modified as has the chassis. |

Drove up to liverpool monday night, coming south on M6 transporters carring both Evoque and FL2. Passed Speke last night and I would say that there was a 25/75 split on the vehicle park in favour of the Evoque. Bearing in mind of the launch this last week or so.

Ordrered mine in April with a July delivery. Still not got it. Current estimate of October so you are not alone. We must both have crap dealers who have chosen to take the Michael.... Only solace is they are promising a MY12 so they are either lying or implying it might be next year before I see it. To be honest kind of past caring now. I have put my trusty Alfa back on the road which continues to be great fun and the best car I ever bought! |

MY12 are on sale now or will be very soon and certainly before 1 Jan 2012. Not sure if there is any difference between a MY11 and MY12 Freelander 2. |

Wouldn't have thought it is very productive just to sit on your backside doing nothing. Give them a call and find out what's going on. After all, they've presumably got your deposit and you need to know if you are going to get a car sometime!

Get in touch with them and ask for their version on why it's late and why there has been no courtesy update. As a non enquiring customer you are more likely to be put on the 'back burner' and your allocated car could go to a more forceful customer elsewhere in the country. |

my dealer has been quiet on the communication front too. Phoned them up this week and they said they were excepting it to come in next week and would make a few enquires to find out and e-mail me an update so I can sort out transferring my insurance and finalise my payment.

Keep the Disco anyway Much more fun to drive! We have a Disco 1 and a freelander 2, Both have their merits. And we use both for offloading. 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten. 2008 Auto TD4 Freelander2, now gone? 2013 Auto SD4 Freelander!
