2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey
2007 SE Audio system??

Hi All,
Been searching for a few hours and a bit confused. I will be picking up a 2007 SE next Friday but wanted to check what the std audio system is (i turned it on before i bought it but didn't count the speakers etc).

Is it 6+woofer or 9 +woofer.

Also is it 6 CD or single CD and should it read mp3 CD's?

Separate question, does anyone know where i can download a 2007 brochure/spec list (one with the detail for the whole range.

Cheers,
Mike.

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey

Thanks, useful link.

Added a bit to my confusion though as it suggests the SE audio is not as good as the XS. I saw the sub woofer housing in the boot but didn't specifically notice if there was a speaker (sub woofer) in it.

Are there any SE owners that could clarify.

Thanks.

Thanks guys,
Much appreciated - i'll sleep easy on that one now.

Sorry a couple more questions,

Can you play CD's burned with MP3 tracks on it?

There seems to be a few options for ipod/iphone cables, it seems the phone bit is OK through Bluetooth (iphone3GS) but i wanted to avoid the AUX in 3.5mm cable option for music and go for an option that allows track control etc via the steering wheel - any suggestions on the lowest cost way to do this (i have a brodit mount already).

Last question - is there a way to connect a USB stick (with MP3 tracks) - via an optional cable/module etc.

Many Thanks,
Mike.

Hi guys, as a random question how do you load cd's 2 through 6 on the 2007 SE Radio? Question

When I bought my car the owners manual was missing and I've had a look on TOPIx but haven't been able to figure it out yet...

If you're certain you have the six disc CD player

1) Press and hold the CD button until 'Load all' appears on the display.
2) When prompted, partially insert the CD and it will be drawn in.
3) When prompted, insert again.

Press the number CD slot to load - ie press 2 to load cd 2, 3 for cd3 etc, ejecting is the reverse of inserting Thumbs Up

Oh and yes my SE has a sub and from what I can tell a fairly impressive sound. And I use the MP3 CD function, have the stacker filled with MPŁ CDs each with around 100 - 130 tracks, thats about 700 tracks in total (about 60 albums) which is more than enough music for me Very Happy

Oh and also it supports CD text so you can see who's playing Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Thanks guys, but unfortunately no such luck.

I have the sub, impressive sound and MP3 CD functionality, but no 6 disc loader. Rolling Eyes

Not too phased though, mostly use my iPhone through the AUX input. Smile

My 57 reg SE has a 6 disk CD, subwoofer and alpine speakers which I just assumed was standard,
The SE was a higher spec at the time than the XS because it was one below the HSE, then they dropped the SE and raised the spec of the XS. (so my dealer told me) Probably cos there were far too many levels of spec!

Probably find that the SE spec in South Africa is different to the SE spec in UK which could explain why you only have a single CD player.

hi rchrdleigh, that could be yes.

Taking my car in to the local dealership next week to have the front sub frame looked at, so I'll ask about the radio as well.
