I hadn't thought about the possibility of it only having the option of a Mickey Mouse spare wheel Shocked Very practical. Not!

I had nothing better to do today so I went to the local dealer to look at the Evoque:

+ Quite pleasing from the front
+ Loved the twin exhaust pipes

- Crap from the sides
- I fell into the seats instead of sliding in, too low a driving position
- The interior is too busy, too many corners/curves/turns in the door panels etc
- Headspace OK but only because of low seating
- No feeling of being up there like 'King of the road', bit like a pumped up sports car

Got fed up in a few minutes and went back to my Freely ......... smiling Smile

Went back to have a better look today. I would love those seats in my Freelander and I quite liked the sunroof but, apart from that, it's horrible!

I've been waiting for someone to say that. It's interesting but it aint a Land Rover. It really has brought the Chelsea Tractor to life.

Yep, Evoke is an urban cruiser for suburban pillocks that want the LR badge wrapped up in a blingy body.

Because of how our society works it will sell well....But not to me! FL2 GS Auto '58reg

Maybe it will generate sufficient income to put money back into R&D, with a Freelander 3 on the horizon this may not be a bad thing.
The front end is OK, a liitle longer and raise the roofline and it's almost there.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

I think they have got it spot on, its is more car like than 4x4 but that's got to be good for the land rover group gives us all more choice .
