Firstly, I had many problems with my old computer to the point where it wouldn't start properly and took about 10 minutes to switch off. I get heavy use out of it for important uni work so it is nice to have speedy power up and shut down. Secondly, I have a fantastic social life out and about and many good friends. Some good friends through my law course at uni too. Finally, nice attempt at claiming we have 'sad, sad lives' but I was simply commenting on how pleased I am at having a faster computer at last. Your attempt has therefore failed. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

What attempt ??? I also use a computer for work, I make sure it is reasonably up to dat ( currently PC , 4 somethings of RAM , latest Intel whatever ? ) It has free software , open office , Avast anti virus , CC cleaner , ad aware etc . It is a tool , just like a hammer, it does the job and it cost less than £350. It takes a minute or so to start up and a similar time to shut down. When I press the start button , I put the kettle on , when I press the stop button, I go home. My point was that start and stop times cannot to most people be that important, if your machine did not start properly then something was of course wrong, but can you really get that interested in something that is just ordinary ? Sorry if I offended , but it just seems a pointless discussion, that I now regret getting into |
