red arrows

Many thanks to the RAF for putting on a special display for me, as I drove my tractor up and down a field today. Thumbs Up

They also did a display at nearby RAF Linton , but mostly it seemed they were buzzing over my head and covering me with red white and blue smoke, glad to see them back flying At work

it all started when a load of cars stopped and cameras appeared pointing towards me, I thought the caravan club internet police had tracked me down. I looked behind me and saw a bunch of low flying jets starting their bombing run Laughing At work

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Gee, I miss the Red Arrows! We have a display team called The Roulettes in Australia, consisting of PC9 turbo-prop aircraft (I think the RAF used these trainers too).

Nothing like 9 proper jets screaming along Blackpool promenade!! 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

The RAF use tucano trainers similar to the ones you mentioned, they are based at the base mentioned above and regularly fly over me, the other local base has the much more sinister apache helicopters.

The RAF used to train in jet provosts, leading to a sad tale from my youth.Me and the other kids at primary school watched two provosts clash wings one crashed into a field, we all speculated as to were it landed, turns out it hit one of my friends fathers tractor and killed him. At work

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Tragic accident. It seems the ejector seat went off while the pilot was still on the ground. Apparently the jets were grounded once before due to issues surrounding the ejector seats. Does not look good. John
