I am going to drive over to Tissington Ford on BH Monday. It's not far from me and we have had a lot of rain today.

Doc - Clifton is normally always higher as it collects its water from other sources.

Doc - bit late in reply (been away for the weekend) but, crossing ford's etc I'd use "Wet Terrain" setting as you have no idea of the type & condition of surface under that water unless you walk it first. Steady and slow is the way to avoid water entering the air intake. Have Fun. |

A disappointing visit unfortunately. Both Clifton and Tissington were mere puddles. In fairness the midlands has not seen rain anywhere near as bad as the south or Scotland. It has been consistently dry over the summer with the odd bit of rain here and there and Friday's heavy rain clearly made no difference to the fords.

There is a Ford near Burford (we often go to a site near their for the weekend) that is always wet, especially if the old boy up the road is watering is garden, all adds to the flow, I wouldn't take the van through it but its no problem for the freely in the standard road Terrain setting. You have to watch it sometimes as the approach road gets very wet where the locals ride their push bikes through it though. |

Good man - but you really didn't need to take a boat attached to the roof in case something went wrong |
