The next SGRC green road run is on Sept 11th starting from Butterbridge which is on the west side of the Rest and Be Thankfull, just after the sharp left hand bend as you come off the run down the hill there is a large lay-by. Start is 1030 for 11am departure. No mudplugging, just a run on gravel roads and hard tracks. No special tyres needed, this is a family event, dogs are welcome , no special skills required. The route follows waterboard tracks along Glen Kinglass, up to Loch Sloy and then round the back of Ben Vorlich

Hugh, 8th of Sept. Car is built and Matt at LPR emailed today to say that it had left the factory and was on it's way south this morning so I will see it on the 8th but cannot drive it away until the 9th......... and as LPR's handovers are so thorough I booked an extra night in their local Premier Inn and will drive north on the 10th, just in time to get mud in the arches on the 11th!

Tim - ye its the Tombora Flame - Jen has always liked this - so need I say any more.

Only think I will change is to put a decent set of rubber on the wheels before the cold kicks in - Its sitting on a set of Khumo Ecsta STX - They look okay tyres but did a web search and they are designated as a summer tyre - Will need to look at what's best general all round for the 18" alloys - Have more than enough wheels etc for the disco etc - last think I need is a second set for this one - I really like look of the new cooper ST Max - but don't think its available yet in the right size.

There was 1 dark blue ev*** in the dealers just going into the prep bay when I was in on Wednesday - TBH - Looks fantastic but not practical with having 2 muddy lab's to use as a mobile kennel !! I need the space the D3 gives
