LR Halewood have been in touch today, they have heard of Taztastics woe's, so as a one time offer they have decided he can pick up his new FL2 on the 14th Whistle . Mind you he will have to wait till the end of the day, as LR have suggeted we use it round the course without the instructor sitting in. So that makes it 12 adults and one child who will have the chance to push it to its limits.

LR have pulled it of the production line and it will be used for some R & D projects before the 14th, i think they mentioned trying different shades of Black & Grey paint on it to see which would look the best,Oh and as a bonus when we are finished with it, they are going to send it round the corner to get valeted and washed ( very posh hand wash) apparently it will look as if its just come off the production line Shocked

So not long to wait now Taz Thumbs Up

Think they have changed their minds, they would never let a customers car go out onto the the off road course - Just called in at a well know LR dealership in Lancashire - while visiting the workshops there was a brand new SD4 GS in Zermatt Silver. Due to accident damage on the transporter they have had to fit a complete new roof...nearly all the door pillars lined up (almost) and although the colour match wasn't perfect it wasn't bad and depending on the ambient light you can hardly see the orange peel effect of the paint. Apparently they have told the customer that the delivery has been put back - Pity the poor chap who will be taking delivery in a few days Whistle

Hi Toeknee

'new' car all feels fine - minor niggles sorted out by repairer - cannot fault them so far and would recommend if anyone is looking for a Land Rover approved repairer in Yorkshire.

Goes and stops in a straight line , no creaks, yawns, whistles or inconsistent gaps but thought I might just squeeze it on the final inspection line in October for a once over at Halewood Whistle

At the moment I'm pleased. Just got to get my increased premium back from the insurers once the b*ggers insurance has paid up. My ambulance chasers have fallen out with me as I wouldn't own up to being injured.

Still not put the chrome handles on yet - might have been a bit rash????

See you soon.

DR

If anyone is think about coming out of a freely I can highly recommend Peugeots 508 after 1900 miles behind the wheel on holidays I think I gave it a fairl extended test drive. (But obviously not as friendly as forum as this one....) There's always a way forward!

Gentlemen
If this is the case - tea and scones then I might be able to get her Ladyship to bring along some typically Swiss cakes.

She also called me today deep in rural Shropshire where we use pigeons for txt messages.
I sold Mrs Pegleg at market this morning to help pay for the day.
But only got a few spuds!! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
