The Oval - Green or Grand

Anyone on here know of'em - use'em - applauded'em - shower 'em with accolades?

Do they have a verifiable track record of being better-than-the-average, so much better in fact that they excel in every department and do not leave customers in dismay and wanting. Grand as Wallace would say.

Do they really know their Ovals from their Octagons or do they just talk cricket and not play. Which bar do they pay more attention to - pints or the relevant imperial pressure, and importantly their Gromit from their Grommet.

If so they are better than all I've come across here in CH - of whom I can only describe so far as a shockingly complacent, disrespectful, and batting well below par. A bit like India in the recent Test Series.

The welcome to the Green Oval came on the day that I discovered that our local official LR Service Centre had not on the 5th August contacted LR Switzerland re a warranty claim for the "seat belt" damaged B pillar trim and also told me that the order for the LR Leather Care Kit placed also on the 5th had yet to arrive. (Did they fail to initiated that request as well). And that's just the latest in a series of "Service" annoyances that we've had with the LR network of dealers and service agents here in CH. To-date they are seriously below par. Visiting a dentist is more pleasurable.

Compare that to this morning. Postie delivered exactly as promised her Ladyship's new 13" MacBook Air plus some other kit. Sadly when I checked her order against what arrived the USB/Ethernet Adapter was not there. I 'phoned Apple International Sales to find out why. Sorry the guy said. Look I'll send you one F.O.C a.s.a.p and I'll refund to your CC the equivalent of GBP100. Now that's how to maintain customer loyalty - no ifs or buts - just action and an apology.

Thought I'd give a bit of feedback on Green oval as I have just had my car serviced with them. I live in Leeds and decided to use them as they were about £100 cheaper than main dealer for the 4 year service & MOT.

Overall I am very happy with the service provided. They seemed knowledgable on the FL2, the car was ready when promised and they took the time to explain potential issues and what preventative steps had been taken to avoid them occurring in future.

Thumbs Up from me.

I can vouch for Green Oval being very helpful, I popped in the other week to find out a bit about FL2's prior to ordering one, they where more than happy to advise on the issues they have seen and what to look out for. Really nice for a company to provide advice so freely when they may never see any money from you!

The dealer has chucked in a servicing package but once that has been used up I will be off to Green Oval for sure!
