United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver
SMOKE

Have owned many diesel engines before, but....notice that the FL2 seems to leave a smoke trail when I look out of rear view mirror. This is any time of day not just at start up in morning

Was at dealer yesterday and mentioned it to sales guy. His responce was interesting as he said "A couple of other people have also raised this, but all cars seems fine"

Any one noticed this or now what the problem could be ?

I have had diesels for many years and noticed that when accelerating hard the turbos blow a lot of smoke out of exhaust.

The FL2 does this too and so did my Discovery before.

If you notice "smoke" when accelerating your TD 4 try the dosis of 2-T oil, and you will be surprised.
