Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help. I have a 2007 Freelander 2 auto and have just noticed that the little green LED's on the centre consol which indicate the gear selection are not working. I have tried to look through the fuse boxes and cannot figure out which one may have blown. The car drives fine selects all gears and pulls beautifully.

HEy all, Problem now sorted, after speaking with a friend and reading the posts on how to remove the centre consol, I discovered that the printed circuit board which contains the lights ( red not green ) had fallen off the underside, cliped it back into place and now all is fine again. |

Thanks for your help npinks, I had a horrible feeling for a little while it was going to be a costly job, just glad it was a quick fix, can't understand how it became unclipped though, but hey alls well now. 2007 ( 57 ) TD4 SE Auto, Samatra Black, Leather interior, Xenon Headlights, No Privacy Glass yet though. |

I have the same problem. Was going to take it in to a dealer but maybe won't need to now.

I read the article posted, and then very carefully using a flat screwdriver prized up the silver part nearest the gearstick. 2007 ( 57 ) TD4 SE Auto, Samatra Black, Leather interior, Xenon Headlights, No Privacy Glass yet though. |

Unfortunately not. Got the LED circuit board fished out, but it didn't/wouldn't click back into place - just fell back into the tunnel when the fascia went back.
